SOCAP11 Recap!

As European partners to SOCAP, the Pymwymic team was present in beautiful San Francisco in September to track latest developments arising from SOCAP11. In fact, I was there for nearly six weeks coordinating the first California based Innovation Showcase and Julia went for two weeks to coordinate main stage speakers and presentations. Hot topics were ‘people powered capital’ crowdfunding, next generation of healthy food, cleantech with a cool codename ‘Green 2.0′. The Dutch team learned more about social innovation, Obama and the Tea Party through speakers like Van Jones and Elizabeth Littlefield. Pymwymic partners Margaret and Frank were scouting for investable impact entrepreneurs, and enjoyed some getting-to-know-you conversations with early stage enterprises Wello and fairtrade footballs of Senda Athletics.
